Attending My First Protest

Aloha is....attending my first protest to support youth sports.

📢 Know what? I don't think I ever participated in a protest before. If I did, I definitely don't remember. Protesting isn't something I normally do. But, yesterday I made an exception. I stood up for all these Cali kids who've been told they can't play or compete, which hurts their ability to advance their skills and their chances for greatness.

✔ Yes, we social distanced.
✔ Yes, we wore masks.
✔ Yes, our message mattered.

❎ No, I don't think it's fair that some kids in America got to play organized sports (youth-college) while other kids didn't.
❎ No, I don't think it's fair how some kids I know were ROBBED of their opportunities to play at Division I level next year because they didn't have video of their senior games.
❎ No, I don't think it's fair that Cali kids had to travel out of state just to play, causing more hardship on families and potentially increasing risk of Covid.

No, I don't want anyone to get sick.
Yes, I want protocols in place.

But, if athletes from youth to professional level are playing in other states, I don't see why our players and parents shouldn't be allowed to make their own decisions. We're not the only state with Covid cases!

On another note, as a coach's wife, PLEASE GET MY HUSBAND OUT OF THE HOUSE, GOVERNOR NEWSOM! 🤣
LET THEM P-L-A-Y!!!
