Sharing Self-Care Practices

26 Feb
Aloha is...sharing self-care practices that promote healing, love and peace.

"THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY"...not the film, but MY friend, Mary.

I met Mary 20 years ago at the gym. Over the years, I worked in small holistic healthcare practices and she worked as a project manager for a big pharma company. While our professions took us in different directions over the years, our passion for our personal health and well-being only brought us closer. Now our paths have come together in pursuit of ultimate spiritual health and well-being.

Having lost her husband just over a year ago, Mary's spiritual practice and growth amazes me. Because of her quest to find peace and healing, she has mastered meditation. She wanted to share her love and light by bringing me to a special meditation class just before Valentine's Day, where the theme was about attracting and receiving peace, joy, love and harmony. In fact, we were all given a huge heart-shaped rose quartz crystal to lay upon our heart chakra and a small one to take home as a gift.

The Rose Quartz Crystal is the stone of universal love. It restores trust and harmony in relationships, encouraging unconditional love. Rose Quartz purifies and opens the heart at all levels to promote love, self-love, friendship, deep inner healing and feelings of peace.

We also each chose a card with a special message and, of course, mine had everything to do with what's happening in my life right now - I'm mid-transformation and I've been feeling it. I'm about to embark on that next level in my transformation to officially become an empowerment coach, where sharing my past is integral to healing others in the present. It's a scary ride and it makes my body feel crazy.

I've also been scared to share my ability as an intuitive and it's time I stop because I know that's a big part of this transformation and helping others heal. But Mary believes in me. She always did, which is what makes her one of my soul sisters on my path.

Mary, it was so great to spend time with you and Dallas. I'm so grateful to have you in my corner and in my life, for being both teacher and student with me, and, most of all, for our sisterhood. I'm excited about taking our Reiki practice to the next level so we can help restore faith and well-being in others!

Live, Love and Lead with Aloha!
