To have hope means have an expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. It requires some level of trust. Hope can also be defined as “an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to circumstances in one's life or the world at large.” It can be difficult to have hope in times of hardship, struggle and heartbreak.
But think through the alternative. Losing hope only sends you in a downward spiral of despair and negative reactions. In the end, they only invite more reason to lose hope.
