Yes, you read that right. What you think about yourself impacts how you live. Your thoughts influence every decision, choice, and action. Therefore, your self-perception can even determine your ability to reach your goals and make your dreams come true.
It’s OK to acknowledge the things about yourself or your life that you wished were different. But, focus on the good, too! By placing your energy on the good more, more good will come. As Tony Robbins says, energy flows where attention goes. To live in a better space, create a better headspace. Take deep breaths regularly. Inhale compliments about yourself and exhale the self-criticism. A calmer mind makes it easier to make decisions that improve your life.
If you want to live a fabulous life, start telling yourself how fabulous you are now. From how you look and what you do to how you treat others, tell yourself how awesome you are at all of it.
Project the image of the person you want to become. Start acting as if you are that person and live as though you have achieved the life you desire. To do this, find the joy. Express gratitude for all that you have. Be proud of everything you've accomplished and achieved. Practice kindness to spread joy to others and to cultivate joy within yourself. And, follow your passion - in the things you love to do, places you love to go, and the people you love.
