Self-care is an investment in your health that you cannot afford to ignore. When you invest in your health, you are investing in your future. Whether you are a CEO, doctor, teacher, parent, athlete, or a student, if you want to succeed, you need to implement self-care as a strategy for success.

If you want to be and do your best, take the time to rest. No matter how busy you are, you need to make time for yourself. You cannot drive yourself into the ground and expect optimal performance and results. The mind and body was not meant to function that way. If you are overworked, overtired, or stretched too thin, something will eventually give and you will suffer. 

Take adequate time to recharge, recover, rejuvenate, and reset your mind, body, and spirit. Don’t wait until you’re burned out. Start now! Find a way to invest in your health by allotting a certain amount of time every day to be still and detach from your responsibilities. 

Do something fun or something relaxing. Do anything that lifts your spirits or feels good to your body. It can be five minutes, an hour, or even a full day. Find what fits your schedule, aligns with your priorities, and suits your lifestyle. Then, build up from there.

You are your greatest investment. Without you, your goals and dreams don’t matter because you are the catalyst to make them happen! Give yourself permission to do whatever is in your power to take care of yourself now so that you can be or do your best tomorrow.

You are worth it!
