I'm Moving Forward

There are so many things that can hold you back or keep you stuck - loss, defeat, heartbreak, failure, fear, doubt, self-limiting beliefs, lack of self-esteem, lack of self-worth or lack of confidence. But ask yourself: What do I get out of staying where I am?

It’s OK to stand still for a moment to evaluate what you've recently experienced and your thoughts, feelings and reactions to it before you decide what to do next. In fact, it’s always OK to hit pause, but don’t let it stop you from moving forward.

Even if you don’t have all the answers yet; even if you don’t know which direction to go; and even if you don’t know exactly what step to take first, making the decision and commitment to move forward is a great step in courage. No matter what you've been through, having the courage to move forward is something no one can take from you.

Saying yes, letting go, starting, starting over, accepting, adapting, forgiving, trying again and trying something new or different are all forms of moving forward. If you have done any of these things or have made the decision to do any of these things, then give yourself credit for moving forward.

Making the choice to move forward is empowering. Let that carry you to the next step. It doesn’t matter how slow you go, but just that you go! Soon enough you will find your direction and the momentum to keep going.

Lastly, taking a step in the direction of courage is always rewarded. So just think, when you move forward, you’re already winning. So, keep moving forward, my Pineapple!
