12 Days of Christmas Aloha: Day 1

When we lift each other up, we all rise!

On the first day of Christmas Aloha, I gifted a local hair salon owner a Breast Cancer Awareness "Daily Aloha" Jar to support her healing journey. Just last month, she had a double mastectomy to conquer breast cancer. I hope she finds the customized positive affirmations inside this jar helpful and inspiring.

A local legend in San Diego, Deena Von Yokes @deenasavvy is well known for designing hair for women attending special events like the Del Mar Races. Her work has not only landed her on magazine covers, but she's also been published in several publications, including Forbes magazine, for her insights in beauty and business.

Despite a breast cancer diagnosis early in the pandemic and three business shutdowns since, this boss babe has inspired her creative cutting crew at @studiosavvysalon to use their time wisely by sharpening their skills behind the scenes. For these reasons and so much more, Deena embodies true courage, strength, beauty, grace, and women empowerment.

*For the 12 days of Christmas Aloha, I'm using the 12 days before Christmas to inspire people to be loving, kind, and compassionate with themselves and each other. With pandemic living, political disagreements, job loss, and impatient Christmas shoppers, I've witnessed people forgetting about the true spirit of Christmas. I hope my acts of aloha inspire YOU to be more loving, kind, and compassionate today!
