When you set a goal, getting started is the hardest part, isn’t it? So, when you have a goal in mind, where do you start? The short answer is to start right where you are right now. Start where you are, with what you have, and who you are at this moment.
Whether your goals are to improve your health, your finances, your relationships, or your home, consider where you are today, not yesterday. Don’t start where you started the last time you had this goal. Don’t start where you left off the last time you had this goal. Don’t start where your friend with the same goal is starting. Don’t start where someone you don’t know on social media is starting. And, don’t start where your trainer, teacher, coach, or the person next to you is starting - even if they are the same age, height, weight, or gender as you.
Instead, just start where you are at right now - mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Consider your life as it is in this very moment and focus on the present.
Right now presents a unique set of circumstances found both inside and outside of you that can’t be replicated. This means that nothing in the present is as it has been before, nor is it what is yet to be in the future. You might not even be the same person as you were yesterday. Our lives can change overnight simply by the things that happen in our lives. And, that is bound to affect you somehow.
Achieving your goals is only about you, for you, and by you. Therefore, how you go about your goal must reflect your intentions, thoughts, feelings, and actions you are willing to take to help you reach your goals in a manner that best suits you.
You have the power to determine the goal you want to achieve. Therefore, it should be you who determines the place and the pace from which you start. Be a goal digger, my Pineapple. You got this!
