I Can Make Magic

"The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.” - Sylvia Plath

For those of us who are creative types, such as inventors, artists, musicians, writers, and designers, our greatest strength is our imagination and our greatest weakness is the pressure we put on ourselves.

It’s one thing to create something beautiful in our minds, but it is another thing to make it come to life. Turning our visions into reality is magic. And, everyone has their own process.

However, many things can interfere with that process and the hardest challenges we face are internal. We can struggle with self-acceptance, self-belief, self-love, self-esteem, self-worth, and self-confidence from time to time. We can find ourselves asking:

  • What if it doesn’t work?
  • What if no one likes it?
  • What if people laugh at me?
  • What if they don’t get it?
  • What if I’m wasting my time?

Taking action on your creativity is a step in courage. There is no greater step outside of your comfort zone than to share an idea you’ve kept sacred in your mind with the outside world.

But, you don’t have to be a so-called “creative type” to experience this type of courage. Doing something no one else has done before also requires courage. And, doing anything for the first time also requires taking a step outside your comfort zone. But, every step forward expands the possibilities!

Be brave enough and curious enough to see what those possibilities look like for you! Use this affirmation to help slay the dragon of doubt in your mind and conquer your goals and dreams!
